Terms of Service & Acceptable Use
These terms govern your use of Standpoint (the “Service”), a self-assessment tool provided by AI Service Pro (“we,” “us”). By using Standpoint, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Important: Standpoint is a self-assessment aid. It is not a certification, attestation, audit, or legal, financial, or compliance advice, and using it does not guarantee compliance with any framework or that you will pass any audit or certification. Always consult the official standards and qualified professionals.
1. The Service
Standpoint lets you self-assess a system against recognized security, privacy, and AI-governance frameworks, score your readiness, cross-reference controls, track evidence, and generate reports. Results reflect the information you enter. They are point-in-time self-assessments for internal readiness purposes only and are not independent verification of your controls.
2. Accounts & plans
- Free (browser-only): your assessment data is stored locally in your browser. No account is required to start. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove local data unless you export a backup.
- Paid plans: may add an account and cloud storage of your assessment and an evidence vault. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for activity under your account.
- Free trial: we may offer a time-limited free trial (currently 14 days) of paid features, unlocked by a verified email with a payment card on file. The card is not charged during the trial, the trial is limited to one per email, and there is no automatic charge when it ends: your account simply returns to the free tier unless you actively subscribe. Any data you stored in the cloud during the trial is deleted 15 days after the trial expires unless you continue on a paid plan; we notify you beforehand and you can export or delete it anytime. Browser-local data is unaffected.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
No PHI or live regulated data. Do not upload or enter Protected Health Information (PHI), full payment card numbers (PAN), government-classified information, or other live, highly-sensitive or regulated records into Standpoint. “Evidence” means documentation of your controls — policies, procedures, configuration exports, screenshots, and logs — not the underlying regulated data those controls protect. PHI is prohibited on the platform.
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- upload malware or malicious files, or content that infringes others’ rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to, probe, or disrupt the Service, other users’ data, or our infrastructure;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its curated content except as permitted by law;
- circumvent usage limits, security controls, or the malware scanning applied to uploads;
- upload files that exceed posted size limits or that are flagged by our malware scanning (such files are rejected).
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this policy.
4. Your data & evidence
You retain ownership of the assessment data and evidence you provide. On the free tier, that data stays in your browser; on paid plans, it is stored in your account, and you can export or delete it. We do not sell your data. We use reputable subprocessors to operate the Service (see §9), and uploaded files are scanned for malware. For details on how data is stored, see our Privacy Policy and Trust Center.
5. Intellectual property & framework content
The Standpoint application, its user interface, and our curated guidance are owned by AI Service Pro. Framework references are handled per each source’s terms: NIST publications, the EU AI Act, HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP are public-domain / public law and summarized directly; ISO/IEC, AICPA (SOC 2), and PCI DSS content is paraphrased in our own words (consult the official standards for authoritative wording); the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications is © OWASP Foundation, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Standpoint is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by NIST, ISO, the AICPA, the PCI Security Standards Council, the OWASP Foundation, the European Union, the U.S. Department of Defense, the FedRAMP program, or any other standards body or regulator.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that framework mappings or crosswalks are exhaustive or exact, or that a readiness score reflects actual compliance. Crosswalks are directional suggestions you must confirm.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Service Pro will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. No legal, financial, or compliance advice
Standpoint’s content and outputs are general information, not legal, financial, audit, or compliance advice, and do not create any professional relationship. Compliance obligations depend on your specific circumstances and jurisdiction. Consult the official standards and qualified professionals (e.g., legal counsel, a licensed CPA firm, a certification body, a QSA, or a 3PAO) before relying on any result.
9. Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service (for example, hosting and, for paid features, cloud database/storage and transactional email). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers’ terms, and limited data may be processed by them as subprocessors to deliver the Service.
10. Changes & termination
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or end access for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
